Winter 2020/21 Survey Results

Thank you to everyone who participated!
Check back in early January 2022 for our next round of surveys.

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to alter our day to day lives in unprecedented ways. During Phase 1 of the provincial emergency response, Social Planning Cowichan conducted a survey that analyzed the impacts of the COVID-19 crisis on individuals and households in the Cowichan Region. As the pandemic continued into the fall and winter and cases began to rise in British Columbia, further restrictions were implemented to minimize the spread of the virus. With this came a provincial mask mandate, the closure of gyms and public events, as well as further restrictions on social gatherings. To understand how these and other measures, and the ongoing pandemic impacted our community, we launched four new surveys in September 2020. The surveys were launched and available to complete between September 2020 and March 2021.

To see what the community had to say though what became known as our second and third waves of the pandemic, click through the links below to view each file that corresponds with each survey.
