Click here to see photos from the 2015 Annual Walk of the Nations.
The Walk of the Nations was created as a legacy to the 2008 North American Indigenous Games (NAIG) which saw our First Nations and non-First Nations communities come together in new and profound ways.
Walk of the Nations is an opportunity for everyone to come together and celebrate the rich diversity of the Cowichan Region. The event features a symbolic walk of Understanding, Acceptance, Respect and Compassion through downtown Duncan and following the walk - a community celebration with food, cultural performances and musical entertainment!
In partnership with the Cowichan Intercultural Society and Hiiye'yu Lelum (House of Friendship Society) and a strong and dedicated organizing committee, we co-host the annual legacy event of the 2008 North American Indigenous Games, the "Walk of Nations" and this year's walk is scheduled for Saturday Septebmber 17, 2016.
