SPC is Collecting Stories & Would Like to Hear From You
SPC has partnered with Cowichan Housing Association to create an Attainable Housing Strategy. We are conducting interviews on the current state of housing in the region and would greatly appreciate your input.
We are looking for voices that reflect the entire range of the housing continuum, as well as professionals whose business may be affected by housing conditions. The interviews are intended to be short stories from your personal or professional perspective in which we will simply be asking you to share your story.
The purpose of the interviews is to create a series of short videos illustrating the current range of housing needs in the community, as well as the areas of complexity and ideas for solutions. These videos will then be posted on social media and played at events for the community as an awareness and education tool.
Interviews can be conducted anywhere suitable to you and will be scheduled for your convenience on weekdays from August 6 to August 24, 2018. If there is not an interview time that can work, we would also be happy to receive your homemade video in which you tell us your housing story.
Alternatively, if you are uncomfortable with being on camera but still wish to have your story heard, we are also accepting written statements, again focusing on telling us your housing story. These written documents will likewise be distributed at events and online, but can, if chosen, remain anonymous.
